Information about the firm
The Galan Company was founded in 1991 in the town of Pezinok where the first retail store opened in the home of Peter Galan Sr., owner and founder of the firm. Gradually two more stores opened in Pezinok and in 2000 the largest store to date in Bratislava.
After rebuilding of the original store in Bratislava on September 1, 2007 the Galan Center for Home Living has opened and it is one of the largest furniture and home accessories stores in Slovakia.
The main objective of the Galan Center for Home Living is to help customers to find a varied selection for furnishing an apartment, house or office. On an area of approximately 10,000 square meters, the customer can now find not only a large selection of furniture but also a selection of carpets, lighting fixtures, doors, parquet flooring, built-in wardrobes and decorative textiles.
However the main part of the department store complex is the wide range of merchandise of one of the largest furniture sellers in Slovakia – the Galan Furniture Company which on two floors offers a huge selection of kitchens, sofas, living-rooms, bedrooms, children’s rooms, offices, entrance halls, bathrooms.
The specialized studios are a novelty. Probably the most prominent is the kitchen studio located on an area of 750 square meters and is one of the largest in Slovakia; in its portfolio the customers can find - among others – the merchandise of one of the world’s largest manufacturers of luxury kitchens - the Italian Veneta cucine.
Equally attractive is the section of home accessories with a huge selection of merchandise of world-known brands like ASA, Silit, Maxwell & Williams, Zack, LSA, Leonardo, Küchenprofi, Sia, Tescoma, Nextime and many others.
One of the newest is the children’s studio in which we are trying to satisfy the demands of young families by offering high quality and unusual children’s rooms for small children and also for teenager studies. The furniture strictly adheres to ecological criterions and safety standards, such as rounded edges, wardrobes and drawers with safety brakes and phosphorescent elements.
Complete customer assistance includes services, such as kitchen design with its visualization, installment payments, assembly, shipping, warranty and post-warranty service. The Center provides parking for more than 200 cars and the Galan Restaurant is also a part of the Center.
At present further development is planned – an addition will be built by 2009, the retail space will be enlarged by more than 5,000 square meters.
Our goal is to satisfy every customer visiting our Center by offering a large selection of various merchandise and by our services as well. We hope to enlarge the number of our many long time customers who rely on the dependable trademark Galan.
